This website presents the Laurin family tree and family history in North America, from the 17th century to today. It is dedicated to the descendants of Pierre Lorin dit Lachapelle, who arrived in New-France around 1655. More specifically, this website presents de direct paternal family tree of Paul-Émile Laurin and his family.

Throughout the Family Tree, we follow the journey of the Laurin family from one generation to the next. For each generation, you will find a family table with the name of the Laurin descendant, the name of their spouse, along with the date and location of their marriage, and the date and location of their birth and burial. For each couple, all their children will be listed. In addition, digitized copies of a number of family related records, dating from 1665 to 1997, are also included, such as birth, death and burial records; and notarized and judicial records such as wills, contracts and land registry documents. Other documents of interest are also posted such as family related newspaper articles, census records, copies of old signatures, pictures of family members, death notices, pictures of tombstones, etc.

In order to make it easier to search through the Family Tree, you can go to the Index of Names section to find and retrieve the family web page for an individual; or consult the Archives section to access a digitized record.

For those interested in the origins of the Laurin family name, we strongly recommend that you check out the webpages Family Name Origin and Coat of Arms.
